Bacchus W&S Exclusive Private Single Bacchus Barrel Selection #03
ONLY 168 Bottles from that Barrel.
10.5 Year Old - With the Bourbon shortage, putting in the 0.5 is important, a reference that I got from Jim Rutledge's Cream of Kentucky.
I think I am three for three with selecting a winner Bourbons from Elijah Craig!!! I LOVE Bourbons that are 10-12 years old they are my favorite range. The color is dark caramel from the barrel with a butterscotch nose. It's got the classic notes of sea-salt caramel, vanilla, and brown sugar. The finish is long in length and caramel notes, but lingers to let you know that you’ve had a classic American Bourbon!
Craig is the Southern Baptist minister who is widely considered the "Father of Bourbon" after discovering (likely out of lucky necessity) the flavors imparted by storing his whisky in charred oak barrels. This bourbon is firm, malty, and sweet with apricot fruitiness and a long, smoky vanilla finish.
