The Hakushu 18 Year Single Malt Whisky has been rested in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and Mizunara Oak casks for 18 years. The aging of this whisky has created a unique single malt whisky that will enliven and liberate your senses. This "green and fresh" whisky is highly praised by connoisseurs and beginners alike.
The aromas of smoke, wood and pine greet you first, followed by notes of old tea, grape and pear. The initial flavor of very subtle smoke carries you through the hints of mango, dark chocolate, bark, menthol and jasmine. A sweet nuttiness from the Sherry casks comes through, laced with more flavors of pine. The finish is long and slow, fully balanced with salt air, mint, and light smoke.
